Here's a fun one that's going viral online: A simple cocktail in the form of a snow globe. Don't let the looks fool you — this Holiday diorama might look complicated to put together but it's actually amazingly simple. Better yet, it's versatile. This Snow Globe cocktail recipe opts for a non alcoholic gin & tonic, but you can pretty much substitute any clear cocktail of your choosing and it should taste just as delicious.
Big thanks to Meg (@ainttooproudtomeg) for the inspiration! You can watch her take on the viral Snow Globe cocktail below!
Snow Globe ingredients you'll need
- Any clear cocktail of your choice. In this case, we're opting for a non alcoholic gin & tonic, which uses a non alcoholic gin or gin alternative like Pentire Adrift, Monday Gin, Ritual Gin, or Everleaf Marine.
- Alternatively, you can use a ready to drink option like our canned gin & tonics. Our favorites include Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn & Tonic as well as Lyre's G&T. Feel free to even use the Snow Globe method to fancy up your sparkling water!
- Water, for freezing the base of your glass
- A sprig of rosemary
How do you make the Snow Globe cocktail?
You can choose any clear cocktail you like for this Snow Globe recipe. Here we decided to go for a classic gin & tonic! And yes, you can totally do a booze-free version of that, check out our best non-alcoholic gin & tonic recipe.
- Decide on the clear cocktail you want to go with.
- Pour a bit of water into a glass.
- Cut a piece of rosemary and lay it carefully inside the glass upside-down so that it looks kind of like a tree.
- Gently place your glass in the fridge and let it freeze.
- Take it out after 2-3 hours, at which point the water will have frozen to look like snow.
- Pour in your clear cocktail of choice. Cheers!
