Liking sitting next to the sea, breathing in the taste of memories

This is just simply a lovely drink, it would be best called a gin substitute but I actually like it better, it has a subtle salty air about it, I mix mine with equal parts Tophat tonic syrup and top with a can of club soda, and a small wedge of lime, I emphasize small wedge, as I am a lime fiend and put in a more is better wedge with lots of juice and it over powered the notes of the herbs and salt from the Adrift. Enjoy! Will be ordering more!

Nice but VERY subtle

The Adrift smells great and has a very pleasant, calming flavor, but it is VERY subtle and lacks any "bite" that would position it more as an alcohol substitute. It works well with a craft tonic which tend to be less sweet and overpowering than typical canned tonics, and it benefits from a fragrant herb or citrus garnish to intensify the nose a bit. I tried with a half-shot of gin and found that worked very well - it added that bite I was looking for without a full dose of alcohol. I also found that adding more Adrift than a single shot helped bring out the flavor more. Downside is it's pricey if consumed in double-shots, and the bottle is slightly smaller than a standard 750-ml bottle so cost per drink is significant if you start adding more of it. Overall I wish this cost under $25 rather than over $35, as I don't know that the flavor intensity is there for someone like me who enjoys cocktails but doesn't always want the booze.

Meets the standard

My standard for nonalcoholic spirits is if when I drink them, I don’t think “this would be a whole lot better with a shot of vodka/tequila/gin, etc” ... Pentire passes that test and it’s clean and pleasant, and not sweet. Definitely add a citrus peel and something herbaceous.

Not gin-like, but quite refreshing

While Pentire Adrift does not have the juniper notes I enjoy in gin, it has a strong enough presence to stand up to tonic and is not sweet or floral. I appreciate its unique savory taste, which makes it a welcome "adult" substitute for alcohol.
