Lyre’s Orange Sec - Non-Alcoholic Triple Sec

Unit price per

This classic spirit has been crafted to capture the essence of an orange liqueur such as Triple Sec.

Lyre's spirits don't just mimic, they have their own distinction as a premium, non-alcoholic beverage.

What does it taste like?

  • The nose of this triple sec alternative contains classic scents of sweet and bitter orange with subtle hints of Jaffa and mint.
  • The taste offers fresh, sweet orange, wonderful citrus and a generous soft finish.

No & Low Recommendations

  • Lyre’s Orange Sec can be used for a non-alcoholic twist on a Mai Tai or Spritz, but is also lovely & lively when mixed with tonic.
  • Always reseal the bottle with original cap after opening. Do not leave bottle open or replace cap with pourer. Once open, best refrigerated for optimum freshness. Recommended to be consumed within 12 weeks of opening.

Great triple sec replacement

I love using this in my non-alcoholic cosmos, use tart cranberry juice like their tik toks says. Makes a big difference!

Meh, even a little less than "meh"

So... meh? This is somewhat usable in a situation where you might use triple-sec but overall I find it not only a 2-note wonder but the main note I would enjoy the most, the orange, fades far too quickly to just leave a sweetness on the tongue. Mixed in a drink the orange pretty much gets lost so all it does is add a tiny bit of sweetness, it seems to me. It seems to me you'd be better off with any number of far cheaper methods to add a bit of orange flavor to a cocktail that than to bother with the expense of this just to have something that you might be able to use as a 1:1 substitute for triple-sec. This one is a "pass" on buying again for my NOLO cocktails.

Thinking this over a bit more, to be fair, Triple Sec, which this would presumably be meant to be used in place of, is a more mild orange flavor, it's not Blue Curacao or Cointreau or the like. So in a sense perhaps it follows suit to some extent. Even so I stick by my rating here simply because the orange seems to only be noticeable up front and then disappears so quickly into just a lingering sweetness without the orange at all so it doesn't really do the job the way I would like it to.
