Now renamed to "Traditional Reserve" this impossibly crafted non-alcoholic spirit is made to capture the essence of a blended malt whiskey.

Lyre's non-alcoholic spirits don't just mimic, they have their own premium distinction and Highland Malt is a fine example of how good non-alcoholic whiskeys can be!

What does Lyre’s Highland Malt taste like?

On the nose it showcases hints of cedar, grain, almonds and vanilla. Soft scents of sea spray and lightly charred oak complete the appeal.

The taste is lovely with deep flavors of toffee, spiced oak and nutty grains with a firm, dry finish.

Favorite whiskey alt so far!

Fan of Lyre's range, this one is probably top 2 for me. American Malt is also pretty great, will rotate.

Lyre's Highland Malt NA Scotch Whisky

Very good! Has a pleasant warmth that I don't know how they produce (probably a secret, I know). Mix with a little ginger ale, and it makes a great drink. Would recommend and would buy again.

Not bad, but not a great replacement

This beverage is not bad, but it does not replace a scotch.

Tasteless

Tasted like flat diet ginger ale. I'd never buy again.

William Resetarits

Tasted like last nights flat, watered down Dr. Pepper.

Really, really bad

I knew not to expect anything close to whiskey; I know the thin, watery sensation that comes from most nonalcoholic wines and spirits, but I'd seen so many surprisingly positive write-ups about this product that I had to try it. But I'm afraid it's awful and I really regret wasting that much money on this.

On its own it's like somebody added a splash of liquid smoke to a glass of old water, and used with a mixer it just heavily dilutes your soda. Maybe there's a hint of ginger in there somewhere, but it's barely worth mentioning.

I appreciate the effort to try to make alcohol-free options, but when it's this bad it just feels like a ripoff. Don't waste your money. There are great alcohol-free beers out there. There's some good aperol-style beverages that can be made presentable with a slice of orange; but this one can't be saved.
